With a passion for images, Karlijn Milder was schooled at the University of the Arts Utrecht (NL), where she graduated cum laude in 2011 with a specialisation in cinematography. During and after her education she functioned as a Director of Photography on several (short) films, documentaries, a television series, music videos and commercials. Her work was showcased at channels and platforms amongst which VPRO, Xite Networks, NFF, EYE Filmmuseum and the Pinewood Studios in London. In 2019 Karlijn won the Best Cinematographer Award at the Close-up Reykjavik Film Festival (IS) with the short fiction film One, no one, 100.000. She currently works as a cinematographer on documentaries, fiction films, video-installations and commercials.
